Cellulite appears when fat deposits enlarge and push through the connective tissues of the skin. This gives a dimpled and lumpy appearance.

According to Health.com, the cosmetic condition affects nearly 90% of women at some point during their lives, affecting all shapes and sizes.

Shockwave treatments were originally pioneered in the medical industry to break down kidney stones. However studies have shown that Shockwave stimulate the metabolic process and improves connective tissue elasticity.

3D Shockwave for Cellulite

3D Shockwave for cellulite is delivered using a probe on the area being treated . This probe emits radial waves into the skin. Radial waves are acoustic waves which generate oscillations in the tissue being treated. These radial waves break down fat, stimulate the tissue into producing collagen and helps lymphatic drainage, allowing the broken down fats to be flushed out of the body.

Skin Tightening

Over time, as we age, skin loses elasticity (elastin and collagen) and skin starts to hang. Additionally, losing weight can leave you with loose skin. Loose skin can affect self esteem and once you have it, it can be difficult to reverse.

In the same way that shockwave works for cellulite reduction, stimulating the production of collagen, improving the skin structure and connective tissue resulting in increased firmness and the lifting of the skin!

It is important to note that, 3D Shockwave is not able to tighten large amounts of loose skin and we would always recommend that Shockwave is used alongside weight loss to tighten the skin as you go.
